Bio

Liam Sample joins the LumberKings for his first season in Clinton. Serving as the Director of Broadcast & Media Relations, he wealth of experience in live sports coverage, media coordination, and athletic communications. He currently oversees play-by-play broadcasting, media operations, and digital content for a range of athletic programs, ensuring engaging, accurate, and professional coverage across multiple platforms.

Liam began his career in collegiate sports broadcasting while earning his Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and TV-Video Production from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Management with a concentration in Athletic Administration at SUNY Cortland.

Throughout his career, Liam has provided play-by-play commentary for football, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, softball, baseball, swimming, soccer, and rugby at both the collegiate and professional levels. He has held key roles with Cortland Athletics, Northeast Sports Network, the Burlington Bees, Vermont Lumberjacks, and Plattsburgh State Athletics, combining live announcing with media management, content creation, and team coordination.

Known for his meticulous preparation, engaging storytelling, and ability to deliver real-time analysis, Liam collaborates closely with coaches, athletes, and media teams to ensure that every broadcast is both informative and entertaining.
